I need a audio encoding prgram that can AT LEAST convert OGG files to MP3 files. I don't want a BeSweet or BeLight because they crap up my PC. Anyone know of a decent one?

I use DBpoweramp. It can convert to and from multiple formats, so long as you download the codecs for them.

Go to www.dbpoweramp.com k:

Winamp. Use Disk Writer output, and an MP3 encoding program, or just go and use LAME Mp3 encoder right away (I don't trust it, though)

I don't trust WinAmp. I'll try the one Rinforzando gave me.

.:EDIT:.
I also want something completely free. No trial.

I use AudioConvert, but I don't think it's free. You could try to do it with Audacity (free), import the ogg, then save as mp3.

***Completely Free and Bugless***

Cheetah Audio Converter. I have used to to complete my OGG UT2004 music files to Windows Media Player MP3's.

Works flawlessly and no negative side effects...like loss of money

I'm just curious... Unless you are wanting to play the OGG files on an mp3 player, why do you want to convert to mp3? One lossy format to another lossy format = lower quality than first file. You can't gain quality by converting to mp3, you are only going to lose it... And besides, ogg vorbis is a supirior format (imo).

I know Ogg Vorbis is the best media type ever it's just that I need them in mp3 because I'm putting them onto a site (HINT HINT! *Abando...). Any, DB power thing worked. Took 3 hrs on a shitty PC. But I'm done. DB isn't free, it's a 30 day trial. Still works good. Besides, my mp3 player can read ogg.

Ogg Rocks! Get the audio codec now. Play it in your Windows Media Player.
