Default Trouble with dosbox on vista...

Dose anyone know of a dosbox vista patch, a way to fix the problems I noticed well using it there, or another dos emulator that can run well on vista? I recently purchased a new computer; a Dell studio (laptop) with windows vista home premium, and attempted to put dosbox on it. However when I tried to type '\' the program thought I typed ']' , along with my right shift key being non-functional. I am also going to try to find aid on dosbox's main site. However since people on this site have luckily encountered something like this, their info would help provide other sources of knowleg upon this mater.

It's not Vista related your problem. But laptop related :/

You can remap the keys in dosbox with ctrl+F1.
