As for the "ordination" anyone can become a minister of this particular church by registering on their website. so much aggression, these days, I guess religion brings it out in people
Sorry Lulu, it wasn't meant to be offensive - I must have missed where you said it was a joke :wallbash: and while yes, he can be ordained, and it might even be legal, I do agree w/ a lot of the sentiment here: 15 is just too young. I've seen guys who are 20 or 21 be ministers, and there's a lot of stumbling around to begin with. They're good guys - I'm just not sure they're ready to be someone's spiritual leader. Scenario: A lady comes to your church at 8 PM while you're painting some marks on the wall - her husband is a biker who just ran off with a barmaid - she's devastated, got kiddies at home - what's she going to do? And she's asking YOU for an answer to life's problems. 15 is too young. I'm glad you're deciding early that you want to be a minister, alex. That's a really good thing! But, let's just relax for a minute. Give it some time. Do you know whatever form of Bible your religion has? (I'm guessing it's a Protestant-type so it probably is THE Bible.) Have you memorized a lot of the scriptures, know what God says about certain things, how He would view certain situations, etc etc? There's nothing wrong with studying right now to be a great minister, but please realize that you will need a few years to be taken seriously. You might actually be very smart and mature for your age, but the natural bias of others will be not to take you seriously. Give it a little time and dont' give up if this is your dream! k: |

I don't think so. He's just a punk that stumbled onto a website. I didn't realize he was only 15 though, it explains the wrestling threads and why I don't care about his opinion. (that last one was a joke)

People, the point is not whether he got ordained because as Reamus said it's just one click. Neither it is whether that order is legally valid in the US or any other country or Mars or the fifth dimension. The point is whether he is sincere or if, even ordained, he just wants to make fun at the naive people who will take him seriously, either to seek counseling or to talk about his new supposed office or faith. So before you choose to take part in this topic picture the possibility of a 15 year old brat in front of his computer laughing at you and calling you stupid. And I must insist, his being legally validly ordained wouldn't change that possibility a bit.
And in the remote case he was being sincere, nobody will want spiritual counseling from a 15 year old anyway. And if he was sincere he would be guilty of the capital sin of pride because a 15 year old offering counsel and "to teach" is simply ridiculous. So my friendly piece of advice is: ignore this thread.

Yeah, I was planning on making an official announcement closer to the time I leave (October 21st or so), but it just kind of came out here. You'll hear more about it later, I'm sure. |
