Talking The Legend of Grimrock and yoga

Hi, all,

After my victory with Dungeon hack, kindly recommended by dear Smiling Spectre i decide to start the game The Legend of Grimrock, which i installed 5 minutes before.
This game was kindly recommended me by nice Hunvagy.

Further my ambitions are:

1. Arcanum

- kindly recommended by Caro Capo

2. The Summoning and Dusk of the Gods

-kindly recommended by Smiling Spectre.
Sadly i dunno where to find the game.

3. Planescape: Torment

- kindly recommended by Lulu_Jane

4. Drakensang
5. Drakensang: The River of Time

- Both games are kindly recommended by Smiling Spectre and Hunvagy

6. Darkstone
7. Temple of elemental evil

-Both games are kindly recommended by dear RSS

8. The witcher 2
No recommendation needs.

9. Oblivion - kindly recommended by dear Japo

Yes,i know my plan is very ambitious. All above games except # 2 are ready to install and start.

...

Please, feel free to discuss any aspects or more about Legend of Grimrock here.

Well I think you can forget about the Witcher 2. If your computer can't handle Skyrim, it most certainly won't be able to run TW2. Even have some doubts about Drakensang and Grimrock.

Dear Hunvagy,

Why You are so negative to the brave? Yes, i acknowledge my guilt i am not expert in D&D field, and different classes but simply i am just ordinary game fanatic not game theory specialist.

In this same moment yoga is exploring the Dark in LOG and even i am here because i met my first pit. After the pit is located some object i suppose some key.
The label on the wall is: To close the pit, something must fly.
No one of my team is able to fly now.

...
No, no Skyrim is my dream for now.
You know that my PC is not the best but i will cont. upgrade it till reach Skyrim requirements. Do not worry.
Before Skyrim is Oblivion and Morrowind which i still cant overcome.
But Morrowind is played very good with this my configuration.
I have no fixed idea to play the very modern games with max. requirements.

One more word:
Now my LOG is played perfectly.
I am ready to test Drakensang but all 4 of my drives are busy with Morrowind.

Minimum System Requirements
Curious about what kind of system is required to play Drakensang?

Pentium 4 2.8 GHz or comparable CPU
RAM: 1 GB for Windows XP; 2 GB for Vista/Windows 7 yoga - 1.5 GB
nVidia 6800GT with 256 MB RAM or comparable graphics card yoga - 500 MB
Windows XP with Service Pack 3, Vista or Windows 7
DirectX 9c compatible sound card

I read also TW2 requirements. Maybe, maybe ..we will see...

Whats yr video card, barát Hunvagy?

...and do not doubt..

Right now a GigaByte HD5750 1 GB. And not being negative, just remembered you had problems with Skyrim, and TW2 is a lot more demanding, it can even make my system choke. And it wasn't loading properly until I got 8 GB RAM instead of 2.

Wow?
8 GB!!
Forget, yoga, your PC has to be completely renew.
To be fair simply i have to buy new one PC.
Now i have 1.5 GB only. (I wanted at least 2GB, but MB refused to accept this volume.)

So Skyrim and TW2 will be my dreams for a while.

Do not cry, brave, you've 6-7 games to pass still.

ha ha ha

yoga comforts brave

My first details for the team

First line
Left to right

Contar Stonescull - Human fighter lvl 3
Mork - Minotaur fighter lvl 2

Second line
Left to right

Yenica White - Human Rogue lvl 2
Sansaron - Human Mage lvl 2

I am surprise to know that this game is very new. April 2012?!?

But the game is real masterpiece. Believe me.
Better than BoK and maybe little better than Morrowind.
Not sure for the last because i play now level 2 from 13 levels total.

Thank You for your question, Caro Capo.

Yes, LoG is a really great game. It combines the old traditions of Eye of the Beholder trilogy and UW2 (both my favorites) with new tendencies.
The environment graphic is very nice.
Music, sound - also.
Very handy: No need of DosBox or Daemon tools.
Just click on my desktop icon and starts the game..
I am playing on OS 7 32-bit Ultimate now.
Not so gigantic as TW2 - 15 GB.

..about Morrowind:
(Dear Mod, please to be excused i am using this thread to answer my friend Caro Capo.)
OFF
No, Capo i have some stupid problem just before my last attack to Dagoth Yr.!!
Mama mia...
The game was just peace of cake for me before this problem.
I killed all opponents so easy as i used God mode. Y'now.
I think this is some bug or something wrong in fulfilling the Trials.

But i am pretty sure that the last battle will be easy not like this one of Dungeon Master 2!!
For a while this game is stop.

If i fail in solution i will start Morrowind again. I dully keep many save files of every stage of my progress as recommended me wise Kmonster.

My first real problem.
And yes again related with the speed of my hand..
I hate so much such tests!!
Rats!
Because of such speed run tests I get rid to Prince of Persia 3, 3 levels before the end, have dispute with Dosraider concerning Dungeon Master 2 and i lost 3 hours to overcome the problem in LoG. Sadly, no result.
Well, my team reached level 2 - The old tunnels - and started careful investigation. In the middle of map is located The Stone of life, which resurrects my dead heroes (if any).
East of this stone i met a nasty teleporter. When i enter this devise it immediately return me to the initial position before. I have to pass this one.
The only way to de activate it is to press a stone-key on the wall. I have no time to turn round and face the teleporter because i loose 1 second. Forget to tell that i have to be very, very fast to move backward through the teleporter. 3 fast steps back only.
I pressed the stone-key with left mouse button, then button S of keyboard 3-4 times very fast but failed. The time period is very short (1-1.5 seconds) as this in DM2 episode - The falling doors.

Maybe i need a special Logitech keyboard which can be set to increase the speed?

Do You remember this point, Hunvagy?

Yup, and as you said, it's a matter of speed. Just face the button, and immediately start backing up until you clear it. No other way around it.
