I'm also lousy at ADOM, I'm playing a game cheat-loading until I get the hang of it. I've managed to convert my troll to Neutral.

I've now amazed even myself.. last night I thought I was doing quite well. I got further than I ever had got before in ADOM, and then died at the hands of.. well.. something big.

Anyways I was expecting to get quite a nice high score, only to find that my score was NEGATIVE and I didn't even get on the high score list! How did I manage that?? I didn't know you could get negative scores.. was somewhat disappointed. Heh

Aaaand.. This will be my last ADOM related post in this thread, as it is now muchly off topic, and irrelevant as the original thread poster seems to have gone anyway..

Vista didn't even come out yet, mind you.
The choice between 98 and XP isn't exactly a clean one either, so I've got both installed on separate hard drives.

I hate roguelikes. I used to play NetHack every now and then, but got enough for constantly dying to some ridiculous traps or monsters that paralyze you and eat you in next hour. I don't give much about graphics, but just seeing a "b" close to your "@", not seeing the situation doesn't appeal me. Then they just give a grey message: you died. I like the drama. Blood spilling all around, screaming and horrible death!

Care to elaborate. What are it's features, the site doesn't explain much...
