soo..anyone seen this movie? i know most of you heard of it at least. i want to hear your oppinions on the movie.
i thought it was really good, although i expected something else.. but it's pure action, so i think it's great. i didn't like some lines like "give them nothing, but take from them everything" and too much talk about freedom |

I think that it is the most homoerotic movie ever created.
Not that this is a bad thing, just not my thing, particularly the horrific way women get portrayed (but that does remain true to Frank Miller's orignal comic... actually ALL of his comics.) Also, the amount of violence, and the way it is filmed sould best be described as "war-porn." Finally, if I have to read any more troll posts stating that "TONIGHT, WE DINE IN HELL!" I will shoot someone. Stupidest and most hack-ish line in a movie - ever.

'll be watching it this evening, I think it'll be good; Frank Miller's work, and not screwed up. Ooh those lines are the best part, and I like freedom epic although the Spartans were the last among the Greeks able to preach on that but hey.

yeah..i heard some people saw a homo-like-movie in it... i didn't
the combat scenes were game-like imo and i don't know if it's good or bad, but it is one of the greatest action-movies of 2007 |

I just read the comic, and I didn't find anything special about it. Just lots of blood, some uninteresting characters and a lot of "freedom" talk comletely out of place. I guess I'm not going to watch the film. <_<

I want to see it. I think it looks pretty awsomelike. It's going to be worth the $6.00 plus the cost of micellaneous junk food items.
(They made a new Mr. Bean movie? Freaking awsome. Bean forever, yo.)

I saw it two days ago. Not bad. I agree on the homoerotic side tho, what is a soldier doing on the battlefield in only a cape, a shield and a spear. That stinks, even if it's supposed to be very ancient greek-ish. Where's the armor? meh. I guess that "war-porn" stuff is right said.
But I gotta admit, the action scenes are quite well done. Nice job. k:
