Default Necromancy

I know this has been discused before, but nothing final was said.

There are several old topics popping up again. Some see it as a big mistake, others don't mind one bit, but it was debated it's not the best thing to happen.

There was a sugestion about this and I hope it can be implemented.

If the topic is older then (let's say - the number can be different) 4 weeks, then the new post in that topic would not appear automatically, but you'd be taken to a confirmation screen. That screen would tell you it's an old topic and that it hasn't been active (possibly even show the date of the last post in that topic) - and then ask you if you're sure your post is relevant enough to bring the topic back to life.

Off course the game discusion would be an exeption, since there some games may simply not be comented upon, because people don't find them interesting and if somebody new comes along (a fan of the game) that person shouldn't have to bother with such messages - possibly scaring the person away.

It's not such a bad idea, actually. Not that I really mind, but people who're posting in such ancient topics probably aren't aware they are that old, and expect answer to their post, though receiving none at best or a negative remark of someone who doesn't like it.

The fellow you both have in mind is a persistent spammer. These kinds don't give shit about the rules, and a warning message wouldn't even make them pause for a moment.

Let me tell you: if Isto makes one more spam post, I'm going to WTFPWN him so hard there won't be any trace left of him outside the admin log.

None the less, someone would have to code it. Which means to do that you'd have to invoke either Data or Kosta himself.
