Great to see the World at War series of games still available. I would suggest that unless you are into hardcore boardwargames this title will not be for you.

At the time these games were the best in the field for their genre, and still hold up very well today. Be prepared to put in a lot of time with this as the manual is 94 pages long, these games are much more involved than the brief description supplied.

I have the manual as a PDF, which is nearly 10 meg in size. If anybody wants it I will need a ftp server to upload it too. I also have a couple of patch files as well.

Thanks for all the great work!

I also forgot to say, I have Avalon Hill's World at War - Operation Crusader, plus the V4Victory series.

Utah Beach
Market Garden
Gold-Juno-Sword
Yelikiye Luki

If you want this stuff let me know.

I don't agree that World at War has anything to do with Battle Isle. Futuristic simple strategic game as it is BI (althrough one of my favourites) cannot be compared with bare, strict to the bone pure strategy with units from 2nd World War. Dsimply cannot. But I do agree that this part of WaW is not so brillant as mentioned Utah Beach or even Velikiye Luki. But those were the time when simplicity was the greatest asset of strategy. Now 'strategy' are called games requiring a lot of clicking and pointing, endless shoot the up, but in more difficult way. Whatever, WaW is a great series, one of the diamonds of the kind.

This game follows the same rules and graphics of the V for Victory series. I have Operation Cruzader and Op.Market Garden and they are good. Problem is with the great battle (meaning the whole operation; last scenario) its hard not to miss a thing or to get all units in a coordinated attack.

If I recall correctly, this game came with a swanky full colour manual.
