If the handbrake isn't enough, you can leave the car in 1st gear or in R (if you have a manual transsmission). I know it's not as elegant as the handbrake, but it's a very effective way to keep your car in one place. Or maybe you can use a shackle (the type used by the cops, I don't know the exact english phrase for it) everytime you park your car .

Yes, but some manually transmitted gearboxes tend to bump out of gear, so even if you do that it is always reccomended to use the handbrake.

Gee, lucky those rocks were coincidentally placed in that particular spot. Did you know that that would be a perfect place for a car with a handbrake off to roll down to, Tom?
