Yup, Facebook is eeevil! But at least Twitter is good, for the time being.

My another gripe with Facebook is that most forums are indexed by search engines and I find them, then browse them before I decide if I want to join.
Tell me what I did wrong, but so far I've seen that unless I have FB account, I can't read the FB content.

That would be because Facebook is not a forum and is a Social Network. If you don't want people reading your stuff then you can block people from seeing it. To see most pages that people make you need an account to stop people from just rolling on in and seeing things you wanted to be private amongst friends on Facebook.
