Phoenix [NON-PC]
Hi all :bye: .
First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong section. This is my first post, so please go easy on me. Does anyone remember the game Phoenix, or Pheenix? It was an old space invader-type game. You had to shoot lots of aliens that dived down at you from above. At the end, there was a big space-ship, with an alien in the middle. You had to shoot that alien. It was lots of fun. Was there ever a pc version made? If so, where can I buy (or download) it from? I would love to play this game again. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Frodo |

There was a C64 version of this game, and somewhere on the net I saw remake for PC, but that was long time ago.
Phoenix (Amstar) is one of the first games I played, and I was very happy to find (also long time ago) that mame is emulating it. So, does Mame version of the game count as PC version? LOL |

Similarly, there are some special games which are called MAME games and to play them you need MAME as the emulator. He must have played this game on MAME platform, so he said about MAME. Got it!?

Mame emulates games that you can play in arcades, most of the times, instead of emulating N64 games for example, they have various games you can find in your local oldies arcade. Not sure about this..but...are the MAME ROMs bigger than your average ROM?
