My problem is with the video card. It's a crappy built in that came with my crappy VIA motherboard. Specs are 256 meg RAM and 2.4 GHz AMD Athlon but I can't use it to it's full potential because of this VIA p.o.s. |

I'd say Fallout 1 & 2 or Torment. All are still sold, but you can easily find them on the shelf for ~$10-15. Well worth the money.

Nobody mentioned these:
Dark Queen of Krynn Death Knights of Krynn Champions of Krynn Secret of Silverblades Curse of Azure Bonds Pool of Radiance and others of the SSI gold packet that are out there... graphics isn't high agenda but you get hours of good gameplay and excellent storyline... god I used to play these for hours |

I liked Crystalis a lot, it was an Action/RPG for the NES.
Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG for the SNES. Landstalker, Phantasy Star IV and Shadowrun for the Genesis. The PC has had many RPGs of course, some of the more notable ones: Planescape: Torment Wizardry 7 & 8 Arcanum Daggerfall Wasteland Fallout 1 & 2 Gothic 1 & 2 Arx Fatalis Star Control II (it's more of an Action/RPG) Now, let's see about Playstation: Tales of Destiny (battle-system was cool) Xenogears Thousand Arms Persona Suikoden Breath of Fire 3 & 4 (I think that number 4 must have had the best animation for PSX) If you like console RPGs, you may really like Grandia for the Sega Saturn. It is in Japanese however, but I can't help mentioning it. And I know that the PSX has a version of this game (in English), but I think that the 2d graphics looked better on the Saturn. |
