Crap is a overstatement.
NONE of the C&C games were EVER crap, except for one, Sole Survivor.

Sure, some of them may have lapsed into a worse state than others, but RA2 is one of the best, Generals was great (and only better with Zero Hour) and Renegade is one of the best multiplayer experiences I've ever played.
The original C&C was by far the most boring, but that's because it's dated by the others, so of course it loses quality as the years go by. Tiberian Sun wasn't bad, mediocrity? Excuse me, the only reason the game was publicly flogged was because it was EXACTLY the same as RA, except with different graphics (and those were some nice graphics)
