Well you're bound to get more stuff autodetected and done for you if you install Linspire than if you install Slackware. Other than that I agree with you k:

It's great as a stable second os, but come on it's just so impractical if it's your only one. I use it for everything that it will work with (that being not much), and think it's great. But what about when you want to most things, i know there is quite a lot of linux software out there now, but nothing compared to windows.
Not for the newbie.
And by the way, could i please ask somebody why Sawman's consortium is in the links list on this site. Yes, windows is good, but linux isn't that bad. Until i find i reason too start shouting and swearing at that as i do to windows!

Actually there is more software to Linux than Windows. It's just that the commercial softwares are more oriented toward Windows and when there's money there's marketing opportonities... in other words, people only know about the Windows software...

At least that's what I think. Here's a table that I hope will support my theory. Feel free to bash my thoughts :angel:

Ok, maybe not more software, but it's not like you'll miss anything except for game support...

yeah... Linux has more softwares than Windows, the table proves it! and you're correct about it!
