I have chosen Fallout, as I had most fun playing these. I was thinking about D&D, especially Planescape (Torment), but D&D as mentioned above have too many different realms and settings - too wide to make all of these my favourite.
Two days ago I've finished Vampirethe Masquerade:Redemption and World of Darkness should be IMO on this list. Not as the best, but surely as a noticeable option!

After playing Dragon Age, I'd have to say that's the best RPG universe. They packed in a lot of story and history into one game. It was pretty impressive. Otherwise, I'd say D&D, since there are so many books and so much content and so many established campaigns. All other fantasy universes are pretty much knockoffs of it. They're all pretty good though. I always like a deep, detailed world in my RPG games.

Of the list above, I have only played (A)D&D games, or as hunvagy pointed out, I have only played Al-Qadim, Dark Sun, Forgotten Realms, and Ravenloft. So I can only pick D&D from the list. As others mentioned, World of Darkness is a nice setting. But, in case anyone has not noticed yet... my fave would have to be Star Wars universe! :thumbs: (Although I only know the KotOR series)
