Or perhaps people want to brag about their high scores, or about the wave they managed to reach?

Possibly an unfair comparison but..
Windows XP Size: 1.5 GB Hours of fun to be had: Zero. Paratrooper Size: 7KB Hours of fun to be had: At least one. Nice game! |

I played this game a LOT when I was young. I don't know if I ever came really far though, but it was very addictive nevertheless. And frankly I never really liked any of the follwing remakes as much as this one.. first cut's the deepest

Agree completely there man. I reemember playing some game on AOL (when I had AOL) with green aliens and I was like "this is gonna make me cry! They butchered it." I think the name was like Heavy Cannon, or Mega Cannon, or something...Anyways, excellent game! I definately hope we get into a fad of posting best scores and such! I'll go and play it now and see if I can get something good and post it ^^
P.S. Excellent "spoonman" theme you have going on with the avatar/sig Spoonman! I'm lovin it! |

Doesn't this game (or a clone of it) come standard on the iPod?

22.08.2005.
Today we certanly broke a new record! The game added today is the smallest game thus far, with the archive being only 7kb. I'm talking about a fun little game called Paratrooper. Now this game really proves that size isn't everything. Small things can offer just as much pleasure as the big ones can thats sick seb just sick |

So maybe you're the one that's sick - if you get such sickening associations... BTW - It's really late here and just gave this game a quick go, but is 173 a good score for 5 minutes of play? |
