True you pay for what you get. If you already have a mobile phone that you are happy with it is possible to substantially reduce the monthly fees. In the end though, it is still cheaper to get a mobile phone from your provider then to buy the same phone yourself and get the discount.

yes i know. but sometimes the button reacts with about 3 seconds, and sometimes
i'm pressing it for over 10s and nothing happens. this is quite unusual, but doesnt'
bother me too much as long as it is not getting worser.

yeah gprs only comes on for MMS on my phone setup, i havent got a gprs account set up for WAP internet, so i use GPS for wap! this actually makes sense because i have 50 free minutes per day, which includes WAP.

in the uk they want us all to get 3G handsets.. and people only get them for the cheaper voice calls LOL

We don't have 3G in Iceland

@Strobe: I think I've never turned off my phone! I just put it on silent.

Titan, we have similar stuff here as you mentioned. x-many free minutes, some free sms's etc. But only within the same system. Most of my friends have Vodafone cards, while I do my business at Síminn. So I didn't see any use of it. But now my boyfriend just bought a card from Síminn, so we're going to find out how it all works.. I believe it's called "Telephone-friends". Something like... you buy 2000kr or more deposit via net-bank, and you get to call and sms one person for free, in x many minutes or x many sms's.

Both Vodafon and Símin have those offers...

One nice thing that Síminn offers, it's called Kollect. Then you dial *888* before the number, then the reciever pays, but only inside the system. I use it a lot, as I don't have much money. But only if I call my parents or my boyfriend..

Kyocera KX414

Pros - Good Backlight, Light Weight, Decent Battery Life
Cons - Its Too Small, Stupid Ringer Tones, Small Buttons, Too Many Buttons To Press To Get To Functions

Verizon SUCKS too!
