He has a strange fetish.
And just to make it clear, those are just paintball guns right?

If so, have you ever shot a real weapon, just out of curiosity, Titan?
I've tried several kinds of weapons.

The best tho' was when I got to go to the range on Veteran's Day and they had a collection of recreated WW2 weapons, they were exactly like the original models.

You haven't touched a real gun until you've fired a Thompson or MP40.

The Kar98 was LOUD!

Yepps... tried the "RS" (Real Steal) once.. Shotgun, different handguns (liked magnum the best) and even a twinbarreld 20mm AA-gun that my grandfather siezed from the germans in WW2.

BUT.. Those are real guns, who will cause great injury or death if fired on another person, and that is sort of theire purpose.

Now some japaneese fellows turned this into a sport, making replicas, that fire solid 6 (or 8)mm plastic (or simulare material) bullets that can be used for either just fun engagments or used in MilSim-games (google for MilSim if you want to know more).

To me this is a fun hobby and a good sport where the social part is more then 50% of the experience.

I enjoy playing paintball with the authentic looking weapons.

Makes it seem more like a genuine "War" experience.
It's a great hobby, and some people may not like it, but they have their own tastes.

I would probably be more into it, if it weren't so darn expensive...

Well.. that depends on what you compare with..
The only investments you make is for the basic gears (Gun, Mask/glasses and a clip or two) and then it's only the ammo that costs.
All in all, a beginners kit wouldn't have to cost more then 300€.

That's what I'm talking about not to mention bullet costs, it's pretty expensive by our standard (read: average paycheck 450€/month)...

well... stuff 20 € away every month if you can..
You could always start with something cheaper, but you get what you pay for, so don't expect preformance or durability for less then 180€ for the gun itself..

The bullets.. common.. those are cheap.. i get 6.000 for 20€. So unless you decide to go full auto for 10 minutes, you will have them atleast a month if you play every other weekend for a few hours.. (That's what single-fire is good for :-)

I can keep it up for 2,6 mins w/o reload with the round-mag on the picture
16 RPM @ 115 m/s = 21 Joule of energy every second
Does that sound much? It's not.. Some have snipers who deliver up to 10 Joules / shot (projectile energy calculated at 0.5m from the muzzle)
