when i was 5, i played and beat eco quest until i was nine (now i'm 14). i played and beat it so many times that my computer decided it wanted to kill eco quest! it did. is there any adventure game('s) that is as fun and as addictive as eco quest?

Actually there are many far better adventures (at least in my opinion - but sinse you love Eco-Quest so much it has that special feel for you).

I suggest you try the Adventures of Willy Beamish, or Inspector Gadget, or Hook...
These are all fairly simple adventures that you'll probably like. There are much harder adventures - that you'll probably like to if you give them a go:
-Death Gate
-Flight of the Amazon Queen
-Blue Force
-Lure of the Temptress...

There's always EcoQuest 2, of course.

Personally I'd recommend Discworld 1/2 and all the Monkey Islands (natch) though neither of those are on the site, obviously.

I never tried Eco Quest, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the old Lucas art games (Monkey Island, Dig, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, Full Throttle etc.)
