Hey guys, check this out: http://www.gamemaker.nl/
It's a program for making games, but have a look at their created games section. There are some interesting games there.

I use gamemaker a lot. Actually, I've been a member of the gamemaker community for over a year and I compose for a lot of games. It's a really hard program to get into because of the programming involved, so I'd suggest you start with an easier program like RPG Maker 2k3 or RPG Maker XP which came out in English a few days ago.

I'm working on two games right now, they're joke games for my friends but they're called "Sarah Plain and Tall II: Diggity Goes to Mexico" and "Get TSG Laid", which is going to be sort of like the Leisure Suit Larry games. They're both joke games that I don't ever intend on making any good, but I don't make too many games because I'm primarilly a composer and not a programer. One AWESOME game that's coming out soon that is going to completely blow away every other amateur game that's ever been made is called Nightside Wallflower. You can find out about it in the link below. It's for RM2k3 and it looks just amazing.

Another website that I'm at is working on a gamemaker game, I'm composing for it. It probably won't be too good though =P

Anyway, the link below leads to some info on that awesome game that's being made.

Yeah, I've used Gamemaker a little before, I jumped in at the deep end a bit though by trying to make a very complex game while drawing all my own backgrounds, characters etc. So now I am working on a less complex game.

Just to plug another engine, just look at my sig. It's very nice if you want to make your own adventure games. Quite flexible, and has a very good and helpful forum.

I've never used gamemaker, but I have heard stuff about it. I'm not sure if it was good or bad...

Yeah, my friend and I were working on an adventure game with that system. We were both doing music for it.
