David, I don't see what a little Abandonia fan mail can hurt. I am worried that site traffic will have fallen so far off that they will take the attitude of why bother. It's a downward spiral. The longer they ignore this site the less traffic it gets. The less traffic it gets the less likely that anyone there is paying attention.

About site traffic don't worry, before the new layout we had about 11000 members (since the beginning)...look now

Like I said elsewhere, Abandonia needs to look out because it's playing with fire. It's now exactly two years since Underdogs last got an update and they were THE abandonware site for nearly a decade!

It's been 3 months since we had real updates - I don't count the "test" they did with Amazon as one because that was an insolated update. I was told that Abandonia has more than enough reviews and games ready to upload so there must be someone who isn't doing his job?

For a site this size it's not good at all to have only one contact person in the first place. In fact, it's a tremendously bad thing - I've seen it happen over and over again online with all kinds of sites and servers and it always ended in tears.

I've used a free online Ultima Online shard which had an enormous user base but when the leader suddenly went AWOL and didn't pay his server bills (which was from money donated), it went down without warning and only half a year later we discovered that he had been sacked and had moved back to the USA (he lived in Germany) and couldn't be bothered to actually tell anyone.

Well, I don't know what else I can do than to keep hanging out, despite the lacks in the new AB. AB will evolve in it's own (glacier) tempo, but only as long as people stick to it. The moment people run away, this will be a ghost tow... err..site.

I received an email back from the CEO of Studentis. Seems like a real nice guy. He made me feel better about the future here. He didn't seem aware of the troubles that the updaters here are having. Said over 4000 new members in December. Go figure. Maybe they are giving Abandonia better exposure on their other sites. Still would be nice to have more of a reason to come here more often. The screen shot quiz thing was a good idea but it's novelty will wear off eventually.

Hope I didn't piss Kosta off. If I did it was nice knowing you.

Does show a drop at the end of 2007. I wouldn't compare any increases to Underdogs, though, since they have basically walked away from their site.

You can see Abandonia is stagnating though but I wonder how much stock you can put into that. What is "daily reach"?
