Okay heres what I did I went to setup and choose sound blaster pro, 220, 7, 1.
Save and exit. Then right click on VDMS_Apoc and select compatibility. Now check all the boxes, and in the scroll down menu select Windows 2000 NOT 95. Save and exit. Now click on VDMS_Apoc and you should be able to play the game perfectly fine with sound! But one problem though, no music but atleast you can play with sound effects. Hope this works for you.

The music isn't included in the archive we have here on Abandonia (neither are the movies, in fact).

And I still prefer using VDMSound rather then M$h*t Compatibility Mode.

I tried using VDMSound but the sound would work but the picture would be really badly disorted. And if i download the music from this site how do i get them to run in the game? thanks

1. Not sure why it occurs. Try redownloading VDMSound and reinstalling. If problems still occur, check its settings.
2. You cannot put the music from this site back into game, it just doesn't work that way. You'll have to search through P2P (using something like eMule) for a CD image of the X-Com 3 disc.
