Question Castle Wolfenstein & DOSBox

I've downloaded the game, installed DOSBox 7.2 and am running into a slight issue.

The game loads but does not run properly. Very odd... What happens is that it seems to fly through screens. Characters move very rapidly. It almost feels as though the game is being run completely through the emulator without allowing the option to play.

Hopefully this makes some sense. I'm just trying to determine how I can troubleshoot this.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Sorry to post twice... I would have edited my original post but, unless I'm blind, I can't locate an edit button.

I'm running XP Media Center Edition SP2. Thanks again

You must decrease the CPU cycles in dosbox, use
CTRL+F11
to lower them.
As it's a very old game the cycles must be set extremely low, on my PC something as 200 .....

Should you go too low you can increase them again with
CTRL+F12

You can see how much the CPU cycles are set in the dosbox upper bar.

also, the wall-through walking could be caused by some kind of trainer. what are the excutables in the directory and which one do you run? are you sure that it's not a trainer?

You might also try VDMSound; it runs the shareware version without a hitch on my admittedly clapped-out machine.
