my vote is play dumb.

thumbnail pics are so small they hardly offend anyone. i don't imagine anyone really caring. if someone in class etc does get a bit iffy, then say sorry and do something. if someone important gets a bit grumpy, then say sorry and play dumb.

i dunno how strict other places are, but my uni is pretty easy.

i don't think there should be too strict enforcement/censorship of explicit material. this is the internet. there's worse in the world.

They are not. It's simply that if nobody complain about it then it is unlikely that it will be removed.

I have no problems with any kind of avatars, but about the young visitors here... You see, you can find everywhere on the net more than enough sexual advertisement and other dirt, so if you think here on the forum young kids will see their first nacked people, I think you're wrong.

Exactly, when it comes to a situation like this, Admin's should not be exempt.

admins would in practice be told off more often than others..

they are the most visable members of the site. they are the examples to follow, etc.

Not just "I don't like his avatar". We need a good reason.
