Abandonware won't die, it is here to be relived. I have played games on computers since I was 5. It started with kabal and otello, then games like dune 2, manger, civ, keen and TTD. This is the games that I play to day and they won't die. They may be asleep for some time, but it alwas the games that I keep coming back to sow don't say the will die.

And for the "new" Abandonware, it will porbable be the same. I keep coming back to halflife, so why won't the other do the same?

Yes, we will ressurect the Abandonware games, forever. This games are the start, the first of the all games. k: We have the key to the future, but we don´t forget the abandonware, because we´re the Abandonia citizens.

I can't see abandonware dying. More games means more abandonware.

I see the point that the industry is dominated by software giants nowadays... but there will always be people playing around with programming and creating new games.

I think Abandonware will be alive on one form or another - that said bandwidth requirements will rise but so will the cheapness of more bandwidth as wi fi and central storage costs go down and cable and broadband roll out worldwide.

Well let's not forget that Abandoned games are usually abandoned because their publishers/developers went out of business. I'm sure this will always happen and therefore we'll always have abandonware.

Although the kids of the future probably won't have much patience to play REALLY old games, they'll still be around for interest sakes (like museums)
