Well it probably was a nailbomb but only the detonator detonated.
My guess is another splintercell tried to copy the attack but built the bombs so quickly (two weeks perhaps?) that they didn't detonate properly.

Seems they were intended to kill, but failed. They may have been simultaneous and are being linked to the previous bombs.
gotta love the Beeb.

The Metropolitan Police has just affurmed what I had suspected: they were bombs but only the detonator detonated, possibly because the bombs were made too quickly in order to copy the previous bombing.

I hope they capture the guys behind them and interrogate them fully. Then finish them off.
I doubt they had anything directly to do with al-qaeda, apart perhaps from being inspired by them. |

I was in America at the time so it was made into a huge deal.
Glad to see that no one was even badly hurt this time. How do you guys/gals who are in the UK feel? (as in will this change the way you travel to work or school etc.) |

To be honest, there have been a fair few attacks on London and this is one of the crappest. I don't really care about it, but on the other hand, I bet those bombers wished that they have blown themselves up.
They'll probably be in Guantanimo Bay for a lengthy spell, enduring some kind of american torture *shudders*. |

Now more shootings in london. Let's hope this wasn't american style friendly fire. But if it was a terrorist, it proves the system does kinda work.

It doesn't actually say what he was running from, I'd be running too if there were 3 people in plain clothes with a handgun chasing after me.
It doesn't even say that they found a bomb on him, to me this sounds like a 'victory' for the UK police force that will be hammered into us again and again. |
