Default Simple DOS games question..with out DOSBox?

Um, hello..

My PC was made in 2000...so it's an oldie..

So DOSBox makes DOS games run slower then when they usually would If I could just play them in windows..

So is there a way to play DOS games like Discworld and Fable without DOSBox and just by like, setting the compatibility for windows 95? Or something? It only worked for one game..But I wanna be able to play my games faster, so I wanna lose the DOSBox..

Exact hardware configuration, current operating system and also what file system you're using on your hard drive, please.

I got a windows XP 733mhz, with 512mb of RAM

I put all my DOS games in C:\Games

(Games is a folder)

Except for Discworld and Fable, which I made seperate folders for in C:\

(C:\Discworld)
(C:\Fable)

Personally, I'd just save up for a new computer and roll that one back to 98SE; that spec is marginal for XP anyway.
