What kind of error do you get when you tried to run DOSBox? Can you take a screen shot and post it here or just type the error?

Also, is your profile incormation correct? (are you really 67 years old?)

That is very strange.

Can you attach dosbox.conf file, which can be found on the folder where your DOSBox is installed.

Just to confirm, when you click DOSBox icon, it opens and closes very fast?

I didn't find Anubis tutorial that usefull. I only browsed it very fast, but I think there is a lot of things I would never do myself. But then, I'm an experienced user.

You can always read the official Newbie Guide to DOSBox.

Well, I suppose that would be why it wasn't that helpful to you. I'm a complete moron when it comes to such matters, so I found it extremely helpful. Most people who post about DOSBox problems tend to be morons like me, though - no offence.

maybe all newbies should be pointed towards dfend. if they are of the age where they have never even had to use cli stuff dosbox must seem pretty daunting. and the way you have to configure it is a bit of a drag.

Yes, it's a bit of a hassle, but once it's properly set up, it looks and feels like good old DOS.

Let's make it clear: You launch DosBox and it immediately closes. You do not launch any games. Right?

Because at some soundcard emulation settings, some games might crash DosBox when you attempt to run them.
