Default Latest Offer

First, could someone please change the title to my thread? Please? Something like, "Songbird's Offers" would be fine...

My latest offering comes from a CD-ROM I went to great lengths to find and have created a BIN/CUE of. Not only that, I noticed this game was requested as well.

Oh, yeah, the game! SSI's Star General! Included in the .zip the final patch to the game and Prima's Official Strategy Guide as well! This is a fine addition to the "General" Series of games!

The game is uploaded to 4-Shared, though I'm not sure if it is preferred that I upload the package to Abandonia's ftp site... a little guidance as to where the preferred upload location is, please.

Final note: I uploaded an "English" translation of Whale's Voyage 2 and Smiling Spectre did some work on the game in order to remove a few pesky sound check problems. I'd like to download Smiling Spectre's fix of the game I uploaded. Do I need special permission on the ftp to download the files? Please help!

First of all, since you have the original CD image hosted at 4shared, and the request is approved, please post it on the ISO Cellar requests thread.

Depending on how big it is (ripped if necessary) we could host it in AB itself. But please go ahead and upload it here, we'll probably be able or will find a way. I've sent you instructions to upload to AB via PM.

As for Whale's Voyage II, I have sent you a download link in a separate PM, considering the situation. We should also give you POEs for finding the way to translate the game.

I'll post it on the ISO Cellar requests thread. The file is 500+ MB; so it seems best as linked in the ISO Cellar.

That's its place for now, but we should be able to find a way to rip it below 150 MB or less.

You are absolutely welcome!

I will crawl through my CDs and see what other goodies I can offer to the community.

Gotta say I've gotten a lot of enjoyment from Star General; it's an underrated classic that offers a lot to war-gamers

Gotta get our AB off the ropes and recovering from the onslaught that is gog. If we don't get lots of reviews soon, we'll have no downloads left

Hey, i don't know if i should be replying to this thread, but what happened to the copy of Whale's Voyage 2 ? I've looked everywhere for this "Windows version", but i was unable to find it.

Can someone please point me to where this user has uploaded the game?
