Default No PM anymore?

Where has the PM gone? To heaven above or is it the same as "email"? I see we can send emails, but if that's just a regular email to say, our gmails or hotmail account, that can't really replace the PM. You might not get a pop-up telling you you have got a mail, while the PM popped up everytime you entered the forum.

For mods, PMs are very useful to send info, questions and whatever to members and other mods/admins and getting a reply immediately. With the SB gone, fast communication is kinda difficult.

Seems to me that Abandonia has gone from a glorious forum to a sub par mediocre forum...

I know this is probably still work in progress, but I hardly see what "improvements" we should be happy about at this moment...

I second that. I believe and hope this is just some kind of temporary problem with moving..

Some bugs too.

I think you can turn it on in your control panel.
(at the bottom in the jump to list there is a link to your control panel.)

I just checked it, it sends to your email account, and is thus not a PM as such. Now you get an ordinary email, but if you don't get a pop-up telling you you've got a mail, you won't know unless you "manually" check your mailbox. The difference is that the PM system notified you as soon as you logged on to the forum.

EDIT: Ok, found it, but that was a well hidden one. Still have to figure out how to send PMs.

2nd EDIT: So, to reach my PM centre, I need to go to a thread, and from there jump to the PM centre. I hereby request that the PM centre and control panel can be accessed from anywhere on the forum.

Also what happened to the "View New Posts" feature? Is it just me or has it really gone missing?

If I'm correct, the PM is available through the services jumper in the sites' most upper section. But my problem are the pms sent before. I got a pm a day before the new forum setup and I didn't get a chance to read it. What do I do?

I had more than 250 messages, a quarter of them quite important.
Even my notepad is gone.
I don't think we can have them back, maybe an old backup...
I dunno

At the top, under "services" you have your inbox.
