Civ. 1 rules!
I'm so glad this game was posted, I've been looking for it for years. I use to play this game on my dad's computer when I was little for hours. I remember this game owned a good percentage of my year as a fifth grader. This game is so simple yet so amazingly addictive. The only thing I ever disliked about this game, is that for a while I really just wanted to build up my cities, and not be bothered by other countries. Oh well, thanks for renewing the old memories.

If you want to focus on city-building just play as the Aztecs on the real world map, you should be able to kill the Americans within the first few turns, after that you have all of north and south America to yourself, the other players don't seem to go to America so you can attack when you are ready.
P.S. Wooo! 200 posts! |

I think this is the best strategy game ever (except Civ III). I've learned a lot from it and I want to recomend it to anyone (who has at last 10% of brain!).

Civilization is always boring after you complete a few games in a row, but then just take a break and it's always as fun as the first time to come back to it.

Yeah I would like to ehar what these expansions exactly change (except for a few new countries with a unique unit and different stats)
I know the first expansion includes multiplayer... but I only play multipayer in fps games. Its more comfortable to lose in a game with a lot of players than a game with maximum 4 or 5 players... because if you make stupid msitakes they really shine out there (and i'm a bad strategy player ) Thing is in the last few months, in responce to the very emotional and depressing time me and my family are going through now , I quit being my usual self (only occasionally buying a new game) and started buying a lot of games. Now I have quite a bundle of games and i haven't finished them.
