yup, they "GPU"ed it. Its Open-Source now.

Same as Doom 2, Duke Nukem 3D and Wolf3D. Got the sourcecode for those four. Not that I understand how they work, though. Too advanced for me

OH? I knew Wolf3d was GPUed but didn't know thoese were. What about Doom1? Any way I KNOW you can do what punch wants with Wolf3d (I am makin a game right now LOL) and it even simpler then gmaemaker casue the editors are real easy. My complier iwas used to compile the wolfsrc to! I have to check with doom2. I can't with the build engine cause I don't have the mapper, SO I can't make a test map.
