:help:

I'm a big sucker for 2d platformers. However, it so happens that they just don't make pretty much any platform games for PC anymore. Can you recomend me any good from the old ones?

And, BTW, also if you know any GBA/PSX/SNES ones worth notice, tell me too.

What I remember playing and liking:
PC:
*Alien Carnage
*Zombie Wars
*Another World
*Flashback
*Jill of the Jungle 1

PSX:
*Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

GBA:
*Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance
*Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
*Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
*Metroid Fusion
*Metroid Zero Mission

Currently playing Super Metroid for SNES, and I like it too.

So, can you recommend me any similar titles?

PS. The more secrets / hidden stuff is in there, the better. k: I thoroughly enjoy finding hidden stuff. Multiple endings are great too.

Played Blackthorne, but always got stuck in the same part.
Abuse was pretty good, and I have finished it a long time ago.

First Samurai!

I love it (even if I always get stuck early in the game... maybe you are a player better than me...)

Metal Slug (especially number 3. You could run it through Mame)

Gunstar Super Heroes

and you already have the cream of the crop of the Metroid series.

Oh! Cavestory! Free ware.

And McGroin, I believe you are referring to the original Donkey Kong on gameboy. The first 3 levels were the classic three, and it turns into a prince of persia esque acrobatics act after that, with well though out puzzles and difficult challenges. Severly underated game.
