Hey, maybe somebody here can help me identify this game. If not, I don't blame you at all since me details are kind of shaky. Here's everything I know about it:

-It was a graphic adventure game, had at least VGA graphics, maybe better
-It was educational, but actually fun
-One part of the plot was that you were investigating the salinity of the local stream, that something was leading back to its rising levels, pollution maybe
-I remember being inside a garage or something and another of a map shot of a suburban neighborhood
-It might have been a Mac only game, I played it in some computer lab
-I don't remember the year, but I'm pretty sure Mosaic was the web browser of choice at the time, which should help date things.

Anyway, if anyone knows what this is, let me know. If not, oh well.

Could it be either one of those EcoQuest series?

No, I'm pretty sure the main character was older, plus these are exotic environments, the setting was a regular suburban area.

I think I remember the game you're talking about. I don't know it's name, but I'm pretty sure it was by mecc, which should help narrow it down.
