It's 100% free, 100% LAN capable (in fact, it's LAN/Internet only), and 100% awesome. Oh, and it's a first-person action game, just to clarify any doubts you might have had... Darsana Home.

C'mon people.Some good 0-100 MB sized freeware or abandoned games.
I have two computers connected in Lan.I often play lan games but have i recently ran out of challenges. Any kind of suggestion would be appriciated. Thank you for suggestions so far |

battle for wesnoth warsow re-volt duke nukem 3d (i dont know where to get that one thoguht, but i have heard that they released its source as free-ware) soldat i dont know.. those are the ones that came to my mind right now edit: netstorm warcraft or heroes, but that needs lots of time

heroes of MM, that is a good one I'm not sure since what part there was a LAN option, but still you can MP via "hot seat"

The sourcecode for Duke Nukem 3D may be free, but the game itself is not. The level designs, textures etcetra were not released with the sourcecode.

@bob: i know that it was released as freeware, but that would still need a compilation and levels like horseman said
btw HOMAM via lan is more fun since you dont see what others players are doing, like at hot seat. it screwed my evil plans so many times when we played hot seats
