I am pretty sure this is still sold, but I just have NO clue where else to ask about this, I searched for walkthroughs, I have the guide and I have searched for trouble shooting help with no luck, the guides tell me the same thing. Sorry, but I am going out of my mind, I played this when I first got it years ago, and I think I had the exact same problem, because I could never finish the game.

My problem is at the very last stage before you get to the final boss. I can't open the portal, I have tried both ways listed in all the walkthroughs and nothing works, I can sit there and fire fireballs at the crystal all day long and it doesn't open the portal... The lightning rods don't work either, I went to the furnace took out the minion, threw fuel in, convinced the rockies to do it as well, and went back up, and it still wasn't working.

anyone else have this problem? anyone know the solution, I am pretty sure I am running 1.00 (it is the basic one that is installed from the CD) but don't know where to find a patch, assuming it is still available.
