I think it does.
Here is a short movie about the environment in Myst V.

After getting further into Riven I can now say that I prefer the game's openendedness to that of Myst. It's really satifying when all the pieces come together and I for one felt proud of myself when I figured out some of the "bigger" puzzles of the game.

I remember Myst, the one I have on CD you can go into this library where there are a bunch of burnt books. Funny thing is you can read most of them. What, were they rescued like people or something?

Play and see. I won't give away any of the plot.

Up till now my favourite Myst game is still Exile.
By the way, doesn't anybody here have a savegame of Myst IV with all the starter puzzles in Tomahna completed?

Just finished it. There were only two things that held me up. One concerned the closing of a certain door and the other concerned getting on top of the main dome...

But the other puzzles were "doable" if one only paid attention to details and sounds. Riven has definately gotten a steady place on my top ten list of best adventure games ever! k:

SLIGHT SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T PLAYED MYST:

Is that the library on Myst itself? I can't remember any other... In that case:
The books were destroyed as the worlds they described were destroyed by greed.
