On this site you'll find pictures of everything that was in the package, including the magazine article, the decoder wheel and (a picture of) the ballpoint pen!

This game is off course not about looks, but about story and plot. If reading a book is not your cup of tea, interactive fiction/text-based gaming probably isn't either.

Well, I don't know about the others, but the game captured me from the beginning.
I first read all the story from the link that was presented on the previous post and it totally put me in the game's atmosfaire. Just like reading a very good book, but now you are totally inside the world.

But I have one little problem. I cannot stop the recording. I type record and it starts. With what command do I deactivate it? I tried: deactivate, stop, shut down... Well, I am sure that when you tell me I will feel silly for not thinking it, but please help me.

Thanks.

It's a great game.

OK!!!! I found the complete manual! You can download it from this address: http://www.the-underdogs.org/games/a...les/amfv-m.zip

And the command is RECORD OFF!!! And as I told you on the previous post, I feel very stupid for not finding the command by myself.

But the manual is very very useful, as it writes all the verbs that you can use.

Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, memories.

I recall Infocom rated this game the toughest of all of the ones they had. So I was quite happy when I beat it without any help. That certainly didn't make me a good player as I only managed to win about 4 of the two dozen Infocom games by myself.

My opinion of this game was that the simulations to different times were very nice and made it fun to play through. But being a text-based game you have to be the sort of person with the patience to read through a good book if you're going to finish this. It's been a long (long!) time, but I seem to recall that a big trick is having that recorder on at the right times.

I can post new topics. Perhaps you're required to have a certain number of posts, first.

The game is absolutly perfect! It is extremely detailed. I managed to make almost a complete map with all the locations and did all the recording of my first mission. Except one. Watch a movie. Where is the cinema? I have searched the entire city again and again and I cannot find it. Can anyone help me?
