Hey just wondering if any of you guys have ever played the RTS Dark Reign (the original, not dark reign2)?

Hell yeah, great game, I love the different levels of aggressiveness you could set on units, or the different orders you could have them carry out, stuff like "Scout" or "Search and Destroy" or the commands that had made them run from enemies but still shoot their turrets at them, so ahead of its time.

Hey man just so you know, their is still an active DR community. Its small but pretty consistent on the weekends. Free internet ready download available here (the game, and its all setup to use the server we use):

played the demo when it came out. love it then. unfortunatelly they broadband internet was not so developed then so i never got to play the whole game.

just dld it... it's fun - but lacks a tutorial to help beginers. Hovewhere - you do catch up pretty fast!
