Does anyone have any idea how to get the CD Rip version of Deeper Dugeons which is available from HOTU to work? In detail:

There are no DOS exectuables included with that version.
It will not run under DOSbox.

If you properly edit the config files, you can get it to execute and run, it will even display the main menu.
But if you click on "Start a new game" or "continue a saved game" it will, without fail, ask for the CD to be inserted.

This problem is not corrected by editing keeper.cfg. It does not fix it if you mount the image. It is not an actual image file, therefore it can not be mounted. Fake-CD doesn't help. I have already tried:

Creating an image file using NERO and mounting it
Burning a CD Rom of the files
Using FAKECD and two other similar products
Tried DOSBox / Comamnd prompt
I have tried all compatability modes

I'm out of ideas

Any suggestions are welcome

(To burning wing eagle boy: Note I started this new thread AFTER your accusation in the other thread)
