Indeed I did. In fact I was one of the few who picked it up on the day it was released (leveling up familiars for the sorceresses' gave me the 300lb trophy). And I had the pleasure of teasing chat about an amazing new ascension-related trophy that I'd found by only giving them vauge hints about it. One of them had the sense to check the trophy maker in the end so I was rumbled.

None of your items or meat are lost. If you choose to softcore ascend then for 1000 turn you will be in ronin and you will be able to take 20,000 meat or 20 items from storage per day (1 item = 1000 meat). You will not be able to receive items or buffs from other players during this peroid (though items can be sent as gifts that can be opened later). Your familiars will all be reduced to 1lb and 0 kills apart from one, which you choose to take with you that retains it's amount of kills and therefore it's weight.
If you ascend hardcore, then you will not be able to take any of your stuff out of storage (except in the gap between beating the NS and ascending again). You will be asked to choose one of your skills to take with you each time you ascend, this skill will be added to your permanent skills list that will stay with you. There are separate skills lists for hard and softcore ascensinos (your first run through is considered softcore).

i ascended (softcore/ for the lite at heart :angel: ) as a teetolater, sauceror.i was a pastamancer. i kept pastamastery to make hell ramens.

i just started playing this game, i gotta admit its odd, but fun. im currently a level 3 aqcordian thief called mmtealeaves. anyone got any tips for a kol noob? also if you fight other players do u lose stuff if they kill you?

Your familiars gain pound with experience, and they gain one experience point everytime you defeat a monster in combat.

After 400 fights your familiar will have 20 pounds and the only way to get more is with familiar equipment. Usually you can get, with equipment, any familiar to 25 pounds.

Use the Cake Shaped Arena in the nearby plains to level up your familiars faster and get familiar equipment. In the Arena, the closer the outcome of the fight, the more experience your familiar gets. Also, each familiar has one event that they are completely crap at.

cool as. im out of adventures today. tommorow will take my liddle mosquito buddy off to the arena/ i saw the place but was scared that if he lost i would lose him.
