Default Deus Ex

I just bought Deus Ex in Korea. Well, Korea is a good place for vacation and technology, but I also got great games.

Deus Ex really is a remarkable achievement of Ion Storm(which is gone now) even after their Daikatana returned them all kinds of abusements from fans of doom series.

Level 1 really ****ed much, but this game just gets addictive and fun later.

I hope every fans of X-file and conspiracy driven story play this game for once in your life, course this game packs all.

By the way, this game received many rewards and honors from both critics and fans. I will show you some of them.

Best PC game of all time - PC zone
PC game of the year (2000) - BAFTA
#18 in Gamespy's top 50 games of all time - Gamespy
#40 in IGN's top 100 games of all time - IGN

Most of sources are from Wikipedia.

Admittedly I only played the Deus Ex Demo, but I somehow never got warm with the game. A somewhat similar but IMHO much superior game is System Shock, which I enjoyed very much. Buth System Shock I and II are great!

Deus Ex is indeed one of the best FPS games I've ever played. Only ones that are as good that (I can think of right now) are System Shock 2 and perhaps the Halo-trilogy.

System Shock 2 is a really good game theres a patch that makes it co-operative multiplayer with up to four players makes it even more fun.

Rebirth Mod (replaces ingame models with higher detailed ones)

Also Deus Ex is a really good game the multiplayer System Shock 2 is even better

played and completed it. wouldn't be able to do it again since i have a lot more games than i did then but very fun. avoid invisible war unless you want to be built up only to be disappointed (it combines all of the story endings of deus ex into one f***ed up storyline and it's been simplified ingame)

Still a fun game to play after all these years, and with so much to discover every play through, really hope that Edios does not screw up the 3rd one they are developing.

The 2nd Deus Ex whilst still a good game in its own right, was a big disappointment after playing and loving the 1st one. I didn't realise they were planning a 3rd untill now so I hope it will be great. I look forward to it coming out.

Ah, seeing this thread reminded me how I used to be a member of a large Deus Ex mapping community years back. Unfortunately, it slowly ground to a halt as a result of the games growing age and I became inactive.

It was basically the game that inspired me to want to be a level designer

So, when this game goes abandonware ??

Good one really - I've never finished it but i loved the multiple options to finish the game. What is funny for me - every single mission is non-linear but the story as far as i got it's linear as it can be :P
