Ooh, I remember this, quite awhile ago we had a really bad computer, so after awhile my dad got us a new one, and he got this game for me, it's still one of the best strategy games I've ever played.

This was fun, but I preferred Castles 2. It was like Star Control 2 to SC1: so much was added around a fairly simple but potent first game to make an entirely new and more interesting second one. But I definitely liked the first title in the Castles series, and I'm just sorry they didn't sell enough to justify in the accounting department's mind a third game.
