I'd say Abandonia is very open to all new commers, but there are rules that we will follow. If somebody asks for warez, posts inapropriate things (links, pictures...) all of those will get deleted (no mater if you're a n00b or a veteran). I got a few slaps on my wrist when I joined in as well (two on the first day I really got active to be exact), but that's only natural. If you're new in a comunity you do not know all the rules yet. You can be inactive for a while and get the feel for it, or you can become active and try to learn from your mistakes when you make them. It's the people that don't wish to learn from mistakes that do get punished. If you do something wrong and mods/admins/veteran members (who wish to give you good advice) tell you so, you should respect that, not start to fight them. That's actually the only real advice I can give any n00b here. |

This wasn't my first forum (and I've been through some harsh ones before), so I didn't act like a typical n00b.
One I got a warn for forgetting about the "no asking for roms" rule, but that's it - everybody makes mistakes. BTW, if you want some nasty n00b-bashing... Starcraft. I got booted out of game lobbies several times simply because I had very few games on my account, and quite a few of these times I was told things like "go away, n00b" or "ur a n00b" (after a very polite question if they allowed me to join their game). |

Nothing wrong with your first post - it is a great example of the 'noob'start-veteran-ending. |

Is it possible to forget Indignus IV?
Heh, the Chosen, I remember you making lots of polls when I just became active, I believe. Or was that later on? :P At any rate, I don't remember ever getting in trouble with anyone on here, even though it was my first forum... I'm sure I've never been n00b-bashed, for what's that worth

I was (am?) a noob, asked questions such as "When will the warn go away?"

I first looked at all the posts, but did not know where to look (he started off quite nice?) but then I got the Revolutions tip and I'm currently laughing my arse out (he seems quite sarcastic to me?).
edit I like his avatar though. |

Well, he kept returning, but finally decided to stay away. Can't say I blame him. It seems some people actually started hating him (or at least wanted to jerk his chain) and he got provoked easily, so the flaming started.
There are actually a few people that left (or switched over to Reloaded - our sister site), but mostly if they became active they stayed here (or at least return every now and agian). I'm really missing Stroggy. He had some great posts and responses... |
