I´m having some trouble in running the latest addition "M.A.X." with sound.
I just wanted to know if anyone have managed? P.S.: I´ve read the topic of 5th_horseman about sound problems, but i had no luck this far. |

For your information, I downloaded the game yesterday to look into the issue. Soundcard configuration present in Max.ini has some weird values. As in, ones that would never cope with DosBox sound emulation in the first place.
The bottom part of the config file (under [DIGITAL]) has the following settings: Device_Name= Device_IRQ= Device_DMA= Device_Port= Device_ID= IRQ, DMA and port are simple: 7, 1 and 0x220. What has to go in Device Name/Device ID eludes me for the moment. EDIT: Somebody has posted their working config in the MAX thread under Games Discussion. I think I get the idea, but have been unable to find a device ID for Sound Blaster Pro 2 (the soundcard emulation setting I use in DosBox) |
