I shall start this off. Recently, a study was done that reading about and learning Random Facts actually helps stimulate your brain and sharpen your awareness. It also enhances the part of your brain where you store memorized facts (theorums, foreign languages, etc.). Let's start getting smarter! :w00t:

That was a random fact, but here is my offical first one to start this thread rolling! (ok, maybe two or three, but please no more than three at a time! )

1) Swans are the only birds with penises. (I learned this at percussion practice tonight...ain't it crazy!?)

2) Pound for pound, hamburgers cost more than new cars.

3) Elephants can't jump. Every other mammal can.

statisticaly spacecraft is the safest way of transportation (it has both the least acidents and injuries/casualties per year) while bycicle is the most efficient one (goes furthest on the same amount of fuel)

well, whales can propel them selves out of the water, and they classify that as jumping...

You can't determine safest form of transport on how many have died per year. It has to be done by ratio's, other than per year.

it's quite obvous you can't measure safety in crashes per year (and that is aminly because the result is so absurd), but if you think about it you cant measue efficiency in calories/km eaither. why that would mean that any truck in existance is very ineficent! while toy cars are super efficient. after I told you that you'll porbly agree with me, right? I leave you to derive the fun fact out of this by yourself (if you can).

The kid spends more calories running around pushing the truck while the truck driver just sits there pushing pedals hyped on pep pills?
