Seeing as we have have a thread where we post pictures of ourselves, why not have photos of our hometowns?
I live in coventry, in the middle of England, the population is about 350,000, it was where the jet engine and bicycle were invented, it used to be the centre of the British car industry, sort of like the English version of Detroit and was bombed to buggery in World War II Some pictures of the city centre: |

Wow, it's really messed up.
But I still understood anything. We'll wait for your picture. In the meantime, here are some pictures of the town I live in now. It's Recklinghausen, not very big (around 360 000 people), but still pretty known place around our area - as far as Cologne, Bielefeld and such reach, and that's something. Monument of honor Aok - health insurance company (btw., just a pair of steps to the right from the building is where I live ) Monument of honor in castle-park Wittringen Insight on some small city border-industry City center, the market place City center City center |

Here is one more from ?rhus. The tower on the picture, is the town hall tower. A lot of people know ?rhus by that tower. It is an ?rhus "brand".

Sure...
here are a few pictures of the Antwerp city centre (I live outside the centre in the villa district called Wilrijk, I'll try and find some pictures) Old courtroom building in belgium (new building is still under construction) Dad works here Statue in front of city hall (buildings in background are simply houses) The Great Cathedral (not the rather odd spire at the right hand site of the cathedral) Main shopping street. The building at the back is Europe's first 'skyscraper' (its not a skyscraper, jsut the first "really" tall building) Statue with top of city hall in the background Inside the Central Station WW2 memorial at wilrijk's few appartment buildings. just behind those appartmentblocks is the street I live in A street very close to mine (two blocks away) a typical street in wilrijk. same as before

I just found an entire thread in another forum with pictures from my hometown ?rhus. If you are interested, Here is a link.
There is a lot of pictures in that thread, so I'll just post the best of them here. I hope the guy who took them doesn't mind This is a catholic church in center of town. You can see the town hall tower in the background. Here, a lot of yung people gathers, and drink beers when the wether is good. The atmosphere here can be overrealming The road on the picture, is actually a sharp line between the city, and the harbor. In the background, you can see a forrest that stretches all the way to the center of town. The forrest is called Risskov. Who said that Denmark is flat? The picture is taken from the university facing the harbor, which you can see in the background. In ?rhus, the nature is very close to town. In the background you can see the prisme tower. This is a good picture of the close populated part of ?rhus. Again, who said that Denmark is flat? ?rhus is a very nice city. So if anyone of you out there are coming to Denmark, make sure to drop by ?rhus. k: |

I just thought I would add this one. This windmill is actually located very close to the center of ?rhus. In ?rhus we have a museum, which actually is an entire town of very old buildings (The old city of ?rhus). The mill is standing on a hill in that museum town.
This is actually just next to the prisme tower, on one of the pictures above! |
