I'm beginning to become addicted to this game, but I'm having one problem - I can't get the water pipes to connect up properly. I've set up a water pump, naturally, and I ran the pipes from the pump to the city, but some of the pipes just aren't working. The water isn't running through them and consequently parts of my city are waterless. Help me!

Ummm... did you set up ONE pump?
Usualy i have some 12-20 pumps in an area where pollution is minimal.
1 single pump can only provide so much water before another is needed. It's better to have one too many then one too little.

Yah, I've pretty much figured it out now. Thanks anyway. I may have just discovered, however, that it doesn't run too smoothly on dosbox when there's a lot going on. The Hollywood scenario for example.

Hi there,

You don't actually need to run this game in DosBox, it will help with things like speed but you should be able to open it and play it in WinXP etc OK, just don't turn the speed up to far if you want to monitor growth, it is however good for fast forwarding time when you have a successful city on the go.

I'm glad you got the pumps sorted, sounds like you just didn't have one on the far side of town to spread the entire way, good game this, first time I played it I was on the computer for like 10 hours straight :tai:
