Default Shadowman under Win7

I used to play with this under Win98, downloaded from the ISO-cellar, burned on CD.

Now the Win7 either not loads it (interresting bug, as the machine says it is running, but when I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del it does not list it as running), or when I change the main .exe to Win98 compatibility mode, it says kernel-problem.

Anyone managed run this game under Win7, and if yes how? I simply need to run the ISO-cellar version with a virtual drive maybe?

Or is there no difference between the ISO-cellar version and the Abandonia-version appart from the music? Because then I'd be satisfied with that if it works.

Thx.

That won't help. The NT series of Windows (2000, XP, Vista, 7) run on a different kernel than 95/98/ME did.
The only way to run the game is by a virtual machine like Virtual PC, VirtualBox, Bochs or perhaps QEmu.
