Default ESA Lookup

I've visited the ESA website, but can't figure out where the protected software list is. Where does Abandonia get its information from?

There isn't a straightforward list of all games protected by the ESA, only a list of companies whose games are protected. Researching whether a game is ESA protected involves finding out whether a game's publisher is a member. What with mergers, takeovers and companies' back catalogues being bought up by various parties, this can turn into a frustrating paper chase.

That's the value of the Oldwarez List, it's a resource that can't be found anywhere else or replicated without lots of hard work.

Well, then, I suppose a hardy pat on the back of the researcher is founded then! Good job!

I just like to understand how stuff like that works, hence the question.

Thanks.
